Our New Friend

Nicole is a new friend of ours. A grad student at the local university and she's from China! She was at our house a few weeks ago interviewing us about CaraBeth's adoption (something for the school paper I think). We think she is so sweet and have hopes that we can get together often, share some Chinese food and maybe even a little Mandarin instruction. Almost two weeks ago we were privileged to attend her Baptism! In the first picture you can see Nicole (in the green) smiling so joyfully as she listens to her friends sing in her native language.
Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved Acts 16:31

Another Picture...Easter

It's just 3 kids with me this week. The house already feels empty and Meghan's cat is howling as she is searching for her owner. Meghan is with our youth group on a 5 day mission to a church in Hot Springs. They'll be painting the church and also hosting a 3 day VBS for the local children. She was very excited to be going, but we will miss her so much!

Oval Office

Introducing President Connor W. Booth
Here's a shot of Connor in front of the Oval Office replica at the William J. Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock. We saw some interesting things there but I was most impressed with this room. Someday we'd like to go see the real thing.

Finally

Over a year after returning home from China with our Chinese dresses and shirts, we finally had the picture made that I've been waiting for. This pose took just one shot and we liked it so much that's all we did. The parasols are from Kunming and notice the jade bracelet on CaraBeth's upper arm....it's the one we will actually give to her when she turns 16. Just a little big on her now.

1 Year

1 year ago today we moved into the Lakehouse in Clinton. We had no idea we would end up living there 6 months and are so thankful for our friends who allowed us to be there that long! The snow pictures are from this morning! The kids were happy to get out and play in the snow before we started school work. It'll be gone soon.
